WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!

Okay, kids. Let's review.

REPUBLICANS (the Log Cabin kind, but still) file a lawsuit asking a judge to file an injunction stopping Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Check.

The judge files said injunction. The military can't kick out gay people now. Check.

DEMOCRATS (our heroes, the Obama Administration) ask for a stay on the injunction so they can appeal it and try to make it okay to kick people out of the army for being gay again. Waitaminute, huh?

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  1. What the fuck is going on is that apparently you have no idea how laws are made and repealed in our government. And it's people who jump to conclusions like you have who perpetuate the ignorance and drive people to draw sides.

    The Obama Administration did NOT ask for a stay, nor did the Democrats. The JUSTICE DEPARTMENT did in the person of the Undersecretary of Defense. It's standard operating procedure to move for a stay when major laws are in the process of being overturned .. just as it's automatic for a convicted murderer to ask for an appeal at the end of the trial.

    It does NOT mean that the Obama administration wants to continue the DADT policy. It means that our legal system is proceeding in the manner it was meant to proceed - with checks and balances.

    And if you read further down in the article you see this;
    Mr. Obama campaigned against the “don’t ask, don’t tell” law and has asked Congress to repeal it.
    “I agree with the basic principle that anybody who wants to serve in our armed forces and make sacrifices on our behalf, on behalf of our national security — anybody should be able to serve, and they shouldn’t have to lie about who they are in order to serve. And so we are moving in the direction of ending this policy,” he said.

    But, he added: “It has to be done in a way that is orderly, because we are involved in a war right now. But this is not a question of whether the policy will end. This policy will end, and it will end on my watch. But I do have an obligation to make sure that I’m following some of the rules. I can’t simply ignore laws that are out there. I’ve got to work to make sure that they are changed.”

    Don't be another one of those people who throws more sensationalistic fuel on the fire. Learn how our government works before you shoot off your mouth.

    Laws that are repealed withOUT going through this process are more likely to be re-enacted later in other forms. If they go through all the appeals and stays and procedure and THEN are permanently and formally repealed, you know they're gone for good.
